Projects

When I complete a project which I think displays my skills as a computer scientist I like to post it on the web. Below are links to projects I thought were note worthy. I mainly devote this page to computer graphics related projects, because that is my main interest.

Master's Thesis
The latest state of my Master's Thesis I am working on with Gordon Erlebacher. Including images and other news.
IVTrace
A ray tracing API built off on top of the Open Inventor libraries. Provides tools to create your own scan-line ray tracer that will render any Open Inventor iv file.
Creating 2D Images
A short tutorial I put together on how to easily create 2D images and animations. Source code and examples are provided.
Filter Functions
A short tutorial on what filter functions are and how some basic functions are implemented.
3D Elastic Collisions
A small application written to simulate elastic collisions in three dimensions. It was written with Open Inventor and X-Motif.
Marching Cubes
My implementation of the Marching Cubes algorithm by William Lorensen. The code was tested on a 3D dataset of a human brain.
Photo-Realistic Computer Graphics
Links to projects completed while taking the course in the Spring of 2001.
Intro to Computer Graphics
Links to projects completed while taking the course in the Fall of 2000.
Scientific Visualization
Links to projects completed while taking the course in the Spring of 2000.
